G99 Fast Track process

Discover the process to connect small generators with Low Voltage Modules when the Intrinsic Design Capacity is 32 A or less and the Aggregate Registered Capacity for all power generating modules is 60 A or less.

 

What is the G99 Fast Track Process?

The G99 Fast Track process might enable you to connect your small generation or storage faster than another application process.

To qualify for the G99 Fast Track Process, your generator's installation needs to meet the requirements of one of three Small Generation Installation categories, detailed below.

In all cases, any generating units, including electricity storage, connected through this process must use EREC G99 or G98 Type Tested Inverters. If your power generating unit was installed before April 27, 2019, you can also use EREC G59 or G83 Type Tested Inverters.

Small generation installation application process

Small generation installation(SGI) is a notification only process for the schemes which meet the below criteria:

  • An EREC G100 Export Limitation Scheme is not required as the export capacity limitation of the inverter is set by the manufacturer of the equipment.

Fast Track overview

For applications that meet the SGI 1, 2 or 3 criteria, we will undertake a review of the network and if certain conditions are met ENWL will issue you a Fast Track notification.

Installer, Installation, and Generator Information required

This section covers all of the essential details about the installer, installation, and the generator that we need to know as part of your application including:

  • Information about the Installer
  • Installation Details
  • Straight Line Diagram (SLD) / schematic of the proposed installation
  • Information about the Proposed Additional Generating Unit(s) and Electricity Storage, including:
  • Intrinsic Design Capacity: The unit's designed capacity
  • Registered Capacity: The export limit set by the manufacturer
  • EREC G100 Export Limitation (if set by the installer)
  • Target Installation Dates
  • MPAN (Meter Point Administration Number) and Details of Existing Installations (if applicable)

For G98 notifications:

  • Approved Inverter Type Test Certificate(s) and G100 declaration
  • The power rating (kW) on the certificate should match the power rating (kW) of the inverter shown on the schematic diagram

 

The schematic diagrams (“SLDs”) should detail:

  • The generator(s) 
  • Name and power rating (kW) of the inverter being used
  • Live phases, neutral, earth
  • Lockable isolators
  • Clear demarcation between our and your equipment
  • G100 Export Limitation Scheme
  • Any existing generation already installed at the property
