Our partners

We're working with a number of charities and other organisations to help achieve our diversity and inclusion vision.

Disability Confident

We have committed to become more 'disability confident' to help us make the most of the talents disabled people can bring to our workplace. Disability Confident is a government scheme which works with employers to ensure that disabled people and those with long-term health conditions have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.

Armed Forces Covenant

We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and we have received the gold award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The ERS recognises commitment and support from UK employers who support those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families.

Centre for Ageing Better

We're proud to support the Centre for Ageing Better, a charitable foundation whose vision is a society where everyone enjoys later life. They work with partners across England to improve employment, housing, health and communities.

Good Employment Charter

The Good Employment Charter is a Greater Manchester initiative to help local businesses to grow and succeed through improved employment standards by encouraging and supporting employers to develop good jobs and deliver opportunities for people to progress. Electricity North West was one of the first companies to sign up to be a supporter of the Charter when it was first launched in January 2020.

Race at Work Charter

We are a signatory of the Business in the Community Race at Work charter. Signing the charter means taking practical steps to ensure workplaces are tackling barriers that Black, Asian, mixed race and other ethnically diverse people face in recruitment and progression, and that their organisations are representative of British society today.

Inclusive employers

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and were awarded the Inclusive Employers bronze accreditation in 2023. They are the first and leading membership organisation for employers who are committed to prioritising inclusion and creating truly inclusive workplaces. In inclusive workplaces all colleagues are valued and contribute towards the success of their organisation.
