A message from our customer director
This year continues to be very challenging and we are all constantly adapting to new guidelines.
Uncertainty and disruption has become the new norm as has being aware of all the different changes.
Despite all of this, we’re proud to say the North West remains one of the UK’s most reliable power networks.
Daily, our key workers continue to provide the best possible service throughout the region, from the teams in our contact centre, to our engineers out on the network.
The Covid-19 crisis certainly hasn’t been an easy period and with winter fast approaching, I want to provide a reassuring message to you, our customers.
New restrictions may be in place across the UK but they will not affect the service we provide. Our teams will be readily available 24/7 ensuring you receive the power you need.
We are also continuing to review our planned programme of essential work to keep the power flowing in the longer term and are assessing all work on a case-by-case basis.
Because of the current conditions, we are ensuring planned interruptions will last no longer than six hours.
If you have been notified of a planned power cut and you are concerned about the impact, please let us know by using our dedicated webform. The information you provide will help us to react accordingly.
Back in March, we adapted to Government guidelines and I’m proud to say, despite the testing conditions, all of our teams have performed with admirable commitment and professionalism.
Safety is paramount, and we have and will continue to implement social distancing measures. We also have additional measures in place for operational staff and customer contact centre staff, who cannot undertake their current roles from home.
Now, more than ever, we know you are relying on us to keep you safe and your power flowing.
I want to thank everybody for their ongoing support as we continue to carry out our key roles. As always, our lines are always open, and should you experience a power cut, please call us on 105.
