Zero carbon Greater Manchester
At 2018's Greater Manchester Green Summit we made a pledge to ensure we support Greater Manchester's transition to a zero carbon future.
Electricity North West 2018 Green Summit Pledge:
We will ensure that Greater Manchester's power network keeps ahead of the region's needs as we all use more electricity to lower our carbon emissions. We will do this by:
- Co-ordinating our network development with spatial planning
- Facilitating a capacity market
- Innovating in smart grids
- Investing in new infrastructure
Learn more about the North West's future electricity requirements and the work we're doing to support this in our Distribution Future Electricity Scenarios and Regional Insights document here.
