In November 2021 Ofgem announced its decision to award our full funding request of £6.79m for BiTraDER through the Network Innovation Competition (NIC).
The NIC is an annual opportunity for network operators to compete for funding for the development and demonstration of new technologies and operating or commercial arrangements.
To win, we had to demonstrate to a panel of industry experts that BiTraDER satisfies all the Evaluation Criteria set out in the NIC governance document.
