Incentive on Connections Engagement
In 2015, Ofgem introduced a regulatory incentive scheme for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), known as Incentive on Connections Engagement (ICE). The scheme was introduced to help us improve our ongoing engagement with larger connections stakeholders and to ensure that we deliver our commitments.
ICE was formed following a series of tests Ofgem held with all DNOs to determine competition in each of the connections markets. All DNOs are required to provide ICE Workplans for markets that did not pass the competition test.
We are delighted to have passed all but two of our competition tests. This shows our commitment to promoting competition in the North West and increasing choice for our customers.
